Check your offline setup

After downloading what you need, disconnect the test device and try a non-sensitive page in your chosen language. Export to local storage and reopen it. This checks whether that workflow works without a connection; it is not a network audit or proof about later transmissions. A document scanner without internet

Set up the app and required OCR languages before working offline. Capture, editing and recognition use local processing. Internet may be needed for installation, optional language or Android layout-model downloads, updates, purchases and purchase restoration through Google Play or Apple. Test your intended language and export settings before you lose connectivity.

No cloud upload, no account

OnlyScans does not host a document cloud. Sharing, printing, a connected Files provider or an enabled automatic-save destination can send exported copies to another service. Backups follow the platform and destination: iOS private document/signature storage is excluded from automatic backup; Android backup and copies saved elsewhere depend on the relevant settings. Deleting the app’s copy does not delete copies you shared.

Your files stay under your control

Protect exported PDFs with a password, lock the app with biometric authentication, and decide where each file goes — keep it on your phone or share it to any app you trust.
